About This Project

Julian has a collection of 13 original production celluloids from the Beatles’ animated feature length film Yellow Submarine, which was released in 1968.

 

A peaceful, music loving Pepperland which is located under the sea is attacked by the music hating Blue Meanies.  Old Fred, the conductor of Sgt Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band, is sent to get help and recruits the cartoon Beatles who travel back to Pepperland, adventuring through the Sea of Time, the Sea of Monsters and the Sea of Holes. Back in Pepperland they confront and defeat the Blue Meanies.  When John offers friendship to the Chief Blue Meanie, which he accepts, the whole of Pepperland erupts in a huge party.
